Background
Anne Rückert received her bachelor’s degree in Biophysics (2021) from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and her master’s degree in Medical Physics (2024) from the Technical University of Central Hesse in Germany. Her master’s thesis focused on Automated Treatment Planning in Photon Beam Radiotherapy for Rectum Cancer, including the development, application, and validation of Deep Learning generated treatment plans, and was conducted at the Leiden University Medical Center.
Since June 2024, Anne works as a PhD student in the Computational Imaging Group under the supervision of Nico van den Berg and Oscar van der Heide. The project aims to improve residual disease detection after (chemo-)radiotherapy for locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
