Background
Lotte Nijskens completed her B.Sc. degree in Medicine at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. After having finished a pre-Master program, she is now enrolled in the M.Sc. program Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente. She follows the track Imaging & In Vitro Diagnostics. Lotte has a broad interest in medical image acquisition and analysis and deep learning, especially in the context of oncological care and radiotherapy.

Lotte is currently working on her M.Sc. Assignment at the Computational Imaging Group of the UMC Utrecht, under supervision of Matteo Maspero. Her project aims to investigate the development of a deep learning network for synthetic CT generation for MR-only radiotherapy for multiple anatomical sites. Specifically, she will investigate whether a single deep learning model can generalize to different MRI contrast and anatomies.
