Background
Luuk Jacobs completed his Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Eindhoven (cum laude). He is currently enrolled in the Masters program Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Eindhoven as well, following the Medical Imaging track (a collaboration with the Utrecht University). His main interests lie in MRI acquisition, and more specifically, in using deep learning techniques to improve and speed up this process. For his Masters project he is currently working with the Computational Imaging group under supervision of Nico van den Berg, Matteo Maspero, Stefano Mandija, and Hannah Liu. The project aims to explore a more data-driven approach to synthetic MRI by using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to generate multiple (conventional) contrast weighted MR images from the quantitative parameter maps constructed using MR-STAT.
