Background
Maaike van Haandel completed her Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Eindhoven. She is currently enrolled in the Masters program Medical Engineering at the Technical University of Eindhoven as well, following the Medical Imaging track (a collaboration with the Utrecht University). She has a special interest in radiotherapy and MRI acquisition. Currently, she is doing her Masters project at the Computational Imaging Group and the Head and Neck group under supervision of Marielle Philippens and Tom Bruijnen. The project aims to implement, validate and improve a newly introduced phase-based T2 mapping method (by Wang, Hernando and Reeder (2019)) for phantoms and eventually for head and neck patients for 1.5T MRI and the MR Linac.
