Background
Frédérique van Gameren received her bachelor’s degree (2018) and her master’s degree (2021) in Industrial Design Engineering from the University of Twente. Her thesis focused on improving the user interface of a Photoacoustic Tomography system for breast cancer imaging, by optimizing the availability of breast tissue.
Since October 2022, Frédérique works as a PhD student on motion-correlated MRI and breathing guidance in the radiotherapy department under supervision of Astrid van Lier, Martin Fast and Nico van den Berg. This project aims to control respiratory motion for sharp high-resolution MRI and efficient radiotherapy treatments of lesions in the upper abdomen and thoracic regions.
